FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Are we accepting new clients?

Yes!

Office Hours?

Monday – Friday 4:30pm-8:30pm & Saturday 9:00 am – 12:00pm.

Contact individual clinician for available appointment times.

Do we accept insurance?

Currently, we are NOT accepting insurance. Using insurance often requires a diagnosis, and most clients experiencing communication issues, marital distress or relational problems would not qualify for a mental health diagnosis.

Can I seek reimbursement from my own insurance company for counseling services?

Yes. The clinician can print you an invoice to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. We would be considered an out of network provider.

How much is counseling?

Counseling sessions range between $80.00 and $100.00. Please contact individual clinicians for session pricing.

How do we accept payment?

We accept check, cash, and all major credit and debit cards.

What’s the cancellation policy?

Life happens and everyone needs to cancel appointments occasionally. Please give as much notice as possible when you need to cancel. If you cancel with less than 24-hour notice, you will be charged ½ of the session rate.

Do you have other therapists or agencies that you recommend?

Yes! We work hard to ensure the needs of our clients are met. Some cases may require further medical interventions such as inpatient care or intensive outpatient services. If this happens, we will assist the client with appropriate referrals.

How do I get started?

The best way to get started is to call or email us. We will be happy to help you set up your first appointment. The counselors at Thomas Counseling Group look forward to working with you!

What should I do to prepare for our first appointment?

To make the best use of your time, I suggest arriving 15 minutes before your scheduled time to complete the paperwork for new clients. Also, put together a list of any questions you have, so that we make sure to address them during your session.
